David Fattore has already successfully completed his training as a media technologist in screen printing.
What are your main duties?
As a media technologist in screen printing, I print plastic foils with full or semi-automatic printing presses. For this, I prepare the analog or digital image data on the computer. During training, I was provided with fundamental knowledge about the printing process as well as the pre-press stage.
How long is your traineeship and what are the preconditions for the applicant?
To become a media technologist – screen printing, training takes three years. A good school leaving qualification, with good grades in maths and physics as well as craft skills and the ability to detect fine colour adjustments are also the precondition for this vocation.
What do you consider to be the perspectives and possibilities for promotion after you have completed your training?
After my training has been completed, I can train to become a master craftsman or technician.
